MDXREF Source Listing

The list of all source members known to MDXREF can now be searched and listed in MDOpen.
The following can be performed from the list:

  • View source code in editor
  • Perform graphical 2-way or 3-way compare of source code with another member
  • Request 1 or more members simultaneously for checkout in MDCMS

Import Library

New option to search and list objects in a non-managed Library, such as a library delivered from a vendor, and then request some or all of those objects for migration into a target environment. This option is available from the repository view to select any target level, RFP and Project, or the option can be used from any open RFP or Project, Task or Subtask in order to import into that element.

Import IFS Folder

New option to list folders and files in a non-managed IFS directory, such as a directory delivered from a vendor, and then request some or all of those objects for migration into a target environment. This option is available from the repository view to select any target level, RFP and Project, or the option can be used from any open RFP or Project, Task or Subtask in order to import into that element.

Import from Remote Server

New option to list folders and files in a non-AS/400 server, and then request some or all of those objects for migration into a target environment without the need to copy the objects to the local workspace. This option is available from the repository view to select any target level, RFP and Project, or the option can be used from any open RFP or Project, Task or Subtask in order to import into that element.

Request from Git Repository

If using Git for content management, the contents or staged changes in the Git Repository can be requested for migration into MDCMS.

Persistent Customizable Column Order and Sorting per List View

The column headings for list views in MDOpen can be dragged to new positions to change the order of the columns.
The column headings can be clicked on to change the sort sequence of the list rows based on that column.
In either case, this decision is remembered for future usage of that view.

Option to use existing Editor or new Editor for MDOpen Metadata

In order to keep the perspective cleaner, each time a request is made to view/edit details for Metadata (Object Request, RFP, Project, Attribute, etc.), MDOpen can replace the contents of the existing base editor tab with the new information so that a new tab isn’t created. For each view/edit, a new option is available to view/edit in a new tab in order to have different information in parallel.
An option has been added to the MDOpen preferences to determine what the default tab behavior should be.

Additional MDCMS Functionality added to MDOpen

The following MDCMS functions have now been added to MDOpen to further reduce the need for a green screen client:

  • Distribution Levels
  • Locations
  • Scripts for specific Objects and RFPs
  • Services
  • RFP Log Entries and grouped RFP Joblog Entries
  • Ability to copy objects, commands and scripts when copying completed RFP
  • View open and completed RFPs in same list for better overview
  • Send History
  • All parameter enhancements made in MDCMS for 7.4 also added to MDOpen
